On behalf of the entire Glenbard North Athletic Booster Board, we hope everyone had a great summer. Once again, a new school year is upon us and your Athletic Boosters have been diligently working this summer gearing up for all of our sports seasons. We hope that the 2009-2010 seasons will be memorable and successful for everyone.
The Mission of the Athletic Boosters organization is to make every experience with Glenbard North Athletics a positive one. We accomplish this through fundraising, education, volunteer opportunities, community service, and a passion for making the “Panther Way” the best it can be.
Please, please get involved with the Boosters this year. We have many exciting events planned, including our Craft Fair, Pancake Breakfast, Dinner Dance (new this year), and a Golf Outing in the spring. We are also offering personalized laser-engraved bricks and black granite stones for our "Panther Walk of Pride"! In addition, we are always looking for volunteers, so please visit our website to see how you can help. You can be confident that you will meet some great people and make a difference in the lives of our student-athletes.
Last year, with the help of our countless volunteers, we were able to deposit over $16,500 to individual team accounts from membership and volunteer hours. With this money we purchased training supplies, donated to Honor Flight Chicago to fly two World War II veterans to our nation's capitol to visit their Memorial, purchased a new gymnastics floor for our State Champion Boys and Girls teams, hosted a seminar on College Recruiting, awarded $7,500 in Athletic Scholarships, and much more! This year we hope to provide even more support to our Panther teams.
